Jim Mosley & Alberto Salazar

Albert Salazer was born on March 1,1966 in Burgos, Spain, the son of a fourth generation wood carver. He attended the Burgos Technical College specializing and winning awards in furniture designs & detail.  He also attended art school where sculpture & figure drawing were his predominant studies. In 1987, Albert came to the states. In due time word of his abilities for woodcarving, furniture making and design, and old world gold leafing began to travel.
His carvings, largely by commission only, cover a broad range, from lettering and heraldry, to headboards, carousel horses, fine furniture, personal sculpture, and the restoration of antique carvings.

Jim Mosley - Born 7/17/1941 in Palisade, Nebraska, he was raised and educated in Charlotte, North Carolina.  After the Army and some community college courses he went to work  as Advertising Art Director at Douglas Furs, then on to life as a musician, traveling the south.  After 10 years on the road he changed careers, back to art.  He started a small sign shop, painting signs for business, murals and wall graphics.  In 1975 he painted "The Great Seal of The United States" on a wall for the Fourth of July.  In 1976, Jim and his team built a 12ft high pyramid and took it to Washington for the bicentennial celebration, to promote the coming together of the Government and People.   Jim still lives in Charlotte, making signs and making music.

Alberto carved the piece in his studio in Charlotte, NC finishing the work in 1997. The painting work was done at Studio Signs Studio by Jim Mosley in 1998.
